With band members coming from South Africa, Greece and Lithuania, MUNGO BUNGO has a special sound that draws elements from the Balkans, Africa, Improvised musics, World musics, Jazz and Contemporary musics. Sweet trumpet melodies melted over hypnotic drums, raw percussion and grooving sousaphone basslines.
Their debut single ‘AFRO PEACH’ was released in August along with a signature beer brewed for the occasion by Poesiat & Kater brouwerij, and their second single ‘CABIN FEVER’ will be released on September 15th. You can expect more releases and a 10 track album ‘Welcome To Pancake Mountain’ before the end of 2023.
