For this evening we will have two groups of the new generation of improvisers of Amsterdam, presenting new material as they unravel new directions in their creative paths.

Vera Morais, Bjørk Semey and Antigoni Seferli are in this trio exploring improvised music in conversation with written word by the latter. They are experimenting with expressive means, aesthetics and boundaries and approach improvisation as an entirely open field.

Hristo Goleminov is a saxophonist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with a keen interest in free improvisation, as well as in composition based on baroque music. For this duo project, he’s in full interplay with close friend and long-time collaborator Siebren Smink. They will play new compositions by Goleminov, exploring baroque-inspired counterpoint, oddly singable melodies, and interwoven structures within the low confines of the baritone sax and guitar.
