diepvriesfruit is a house that is only safe to enter when gravity loosens its grip. It is a construct and symbol of non-linear memory, as if songs were rooms that we can step into from time to time, rooms full of hoarded treasures, voices. They seek to resonate within moments of life’s stillness and fill the spaces where silence breathes deeply. Other Throat Manoeuvres can however not be contained between walls. They don't share words and thoughts, only what must be cried into the skies, whatever the body refuses to keep quiet. Let us sing of great heroic deeds or eternal love, of fleeting encounters at dusk, of the shadows under the stairs. Of the loud world and the quiet one. Here we remember, we tell our stories, and we raise our own voices.
