From Everything There’s a Song — A Tribute to 50 years of Clube da Esquina

with a special appearance by Márcio Borges.

This concert brings the soulful harmonies, poetic complexity, and emotional landscapes of the Minas Gerais sound to the stage — celebrating 50 years of Clube da Esquina, one of Brazil’s most influential musical movements.

Zaterdag 03 jan. 2026 - 20:00 uur - € 17,50

Across two musical sets, the evening blends performance and storytelling. Between songs, Clube da Esquina co-founder and lyricist Márcio Borges — Lô Borges’ brother — shares selected excerpts from his newly released book From Everything There’s a Song. Márcio's memories will serve as a bridge between the songs, deepening the audience’s connection to compositions such as O Trem Azul and Um Girassol da Cor do Seu Cabelo. His stories illuminate the creative friendships, the youthful restlessness, and the almost mystical encounters that shaped the group’s legendary songs.
More than a concert, the evening will be a meeting point between sound and memory, celebrating the music that marked generations while revealing the stories behind its creation. A night for those who love Brazilian music — and for all who believe that, truly, from everything there’s a song.
The eponymous Clube de Esquina double album by Milton Nascimento and Lô Borges was released in March 1972 and is featured in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (2010), was named Greatest Brazilian Album of All Time by Discoteca Básica  (2022 podcast), and ranked ninth greatest album of all time by Paste Magazine in 2024.
