Gabriel Milliet & Sanem Kalfa

It was February 2025, summer in Brazil, when Gabriel Milliet and Sanem Kalfa last met. They travelled to Ubatuba, a coastal city in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, and wrote together the music that will be the core of the repertoire of their concert at Roode Bioscoop. Songs that will be heard for the first time, and evoke the calm atmosphere and effortless beauty they experienced in Ubatuba.

The duo is preparing the release of an album, and the show at the Roode Bioscoop is not only a reunion - as Gabriel is playing in Amsterdam again after 3 years since he moved back to Brazil - but also a warm up for their release.

Apart from their collaboration, the night will count with solo moments, Gabriel presenting music from his first album “UM” (Matraca Records BR / GG Records Japan) and Sanem playing music from her fresh released solo album “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”
