Judith Jiskoot invites
This evening will be hosted by guitarist and composer Judith Jiskoot. Recently, she started her Master's studies in Jazz Guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she continues to develop her work as a composer.
Her music currently draws inspiration from the Amsterdam jazz scene, as well as from indie music and the literary genre of magical realism. While her compositions are rooted in jazz and improvisation, she aims at writing melodies that invite listeners into the music, regardless of their familiarity with jazz.
For Judith Jiskoot invites she has brought together a group of musicians whose music she admires. The programme will feature mostly her own compositions, alongside pieces by Léna Aubert (double bass), Guy Salamon (drums), Luismi Aguilar (clarinet) and Jonas Blume (piano).
