“Laros” is an ancient Greek word that was used to describe something that is pleasant either to taste, see or hear. It is also the title of the album that Rotterdam-based pianist and composer Yiorgos Bereris released in 2023. His artistic exploration crafts a personal language of composition and improvisation that is inspired by jazz, Greek folk, and Balkan music traditions.
