MUNDUS IMAGINALIS
Misschien ben je in je voorstelling deze vormen al eens tegengekomen: figuren, gezichten, symbolen, voorwerpen of handelingen. Die vormen lijken totaal los te staan van het leven van alledag, en waarvan de betekenis je misschien ontgaat. Of misschien heb je een bepaalde vurigheid, een enthousiasme ervaren voor bepaalde fascinerende beelden die je in oude verhalen aantrof. Dit alles vormt de Mundus Imaginalis of Imaginale Wereld. Meestal hechten we er geen waarde aan en zijn ze niet geloofwaardig.
Nu is de vraag: in hoeverre kunnen we de werkelijkheid ervan beschouwen?
De Air: Dutch edition Artist.inResidence selecteerde het project Mundus Imaginalis van twee kunstenaars: Fuad Ahmadvand als musicus en Marie-Pierre Murigneux als euritmie danser. Samen hebben de drie weken intensief in Theater De Roode Bioscoop gewerkt en presenteren zij op 15 en 16 Juli voor het eerst hun performance die een artistiek onderzoek is naar deze Imaginale Wereld.

MUNDUS IMAGINALIS
You may have already encountered in your mind forms such as: figures, faces, symbols, objects or actions, which appear totally disconnected from everyday life, and its meaning might be out of your comprehension. Or perhaps you may have experienced a fervour, an enthusiasm for certain fascinating images found in ancient tales. All this constitutes the Mundus Imaginalis or Imaginal World. Most of the time we give them neither importance nor credibility.
Now the question is: How far can we consider its reality?
De AiR: Dutch edition Artist.inResidence selected the project Mundus Imaginalis from two artists: Fuad Ahmadvand as a musician and Marie-Pierre Murigneux as a eurythmy dancer. For three weeks they have intensively been working in Theater De Roode Bioscoop to complete this performance. At the end of their residency July will present the result of their artistic research about this Imaginal World.
