Sophie du Ry is an artist who uses her voice to explore, challenge, and reshape the relationship between the female voice and modern ideas of femininity. Starting out as a backing singer in The Orchestra (for now), she connected with producer Daniel Scott-Warren, a partnership formed. Together, they began experimenting with electronic pop and ambient music, blending influences from alt-pop, experimental songwriting, and various other genres. Combining flute, drums, guitar and clarinet into their live set, Sophie and Daniel’s sound is ever-evolving—whether it’s the high-energy, genre-bending chaos of hyperpop or the stripped-back intimacy of minimal, atmospheric ballads. Drawing inspiration from artists like Eartheater, Caroline Polachek, Clarissa Connelly, Marina Herlop and Smerz, they are unafraid to explore new territories, pushing the boundaries of what they can create.
