CASCO 2 : OBJECT OFFERINGS

Through sound, image, movement and improvisation, Object Offerings explores how everyday objects alter perception and shift relations between bodies and space. Interested in the poetic potential of ordinary things, the programme asks how objects can extend us, unsettle us, and shake the waters of the familiar.

A group of artists from different disciplines - audiovisual, music, design, sculpture - meet in this sonic project. A project that explores what it means to play by ear, to experiment through improvisation, to make and remake in real time–allowing something fragile to exist for a moment until it breaks. In the process of recording, the group follows traces of sound that suggest a concrete music–moving through resonances, found instruments, sound objects in the midst of a web of cables where to be misunderstood becomes a methodology that resists resolution. And–like the hearing aid, the sound will carry the imprint of me.

Screenings
Floor Martens, Gosse Van Dijk, Maxime Ventulé, Patrick Teixeira, Sam ZwartArtists from different disciplines (video, photography, music) have been asked to create a 5 to 15min video around the themes: objects, extended body, sacrifice and poetry. Free interpretable and translated through their own artistic vision.
