Signal Room brings together two artists working between experimental electronics, improvisation, and sound art. De Roode Bioscoop becomes a space for encounter: between acoustic space and electronic sound, between performers and listeners, and between different ways of making and experiencing music. Through electronic live performance, familiar boundaries dissolve as sound is continuously shaped, transformed, and reimagined in real time.

Presented in an intimate listening environment, these two performances unfold as evolving sonic landscapes shaped by live decision-making, interaction, and exploration. Drawing from contemporary electronic practices as well as traditions of experimental and improvised music, the artists create immersive experiences that invite close attention and open-ended listening.
Signal Room is an invitation to encounter sound in motion: unstable, transformative, and suspended between familiar categories.

Omar Medina is a composer, producer, and guitarist based in the Netherlands. His work blends glitch, dark ambient, IDM, and noise into immersive, narrative-driven sonic systems that explore migration, memory, and technological adaptation. Moving from guitar to experimental electronics, he combines modular synthesis and custom Max/MSP software, to create music that balances mechanical, anti-human pulses with slow, dark landscapes. His upcoming album Goleb (September 2026) is a visceral reflection on change, adaptation, and belonging.

Andreas Tegnander is a composer and multimedia artist pursuing sensorial extensions and cross-sensory translations through sound art. In his practice he investigates the flexibility of cognitive biases and perception and re-imagining technology to create sonic spatial interventions that highlight the invisible forces that shape our ‘hallucinations’ and behaviours.
