This Amsterdam based instrumental ensemble that bridges jazz with electronic, indie, and early twentieth century classical music. Following their debut album Hollow, released by Fattoria Musica Records, they now present music from their newest project Mimesis.
Mimesis stands for an imitation that isn’t an exact mimicry: a copy with its own identity.
In Mimesis the compositions slowly evolve while layering both acoustic and electronic sounds together, mimicking the layers in a poem.
The trio finds inspiration with the groove and arrangements of the Ahmad Jamal Trio and the sounds of Esbjörn Svensson’s E.S.T.
